0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. oopsie By Joann ok I started this way wrong....i didn't pay any attention to to fact that this was book 4.i read this book first. i really enjoyed it. now i understand why i was feeling like they could have gave us more about how they got together in the first place, because i skipped those books by mistake! oops on my part however that being said, i was able to really enjoy the story and feel the love between the two main characters. i really enjoyed the book. i'm kinda bummed i read the last book first tho! ill just have to go back and read it from the beginning!

Giving a guy an excuse like that to the main character for something so serious is not acceptable. Took this book WAY down. The step brother thing doesn't bother me at all.

My grand kids who are five and seven have their own iPads, so they are going to be on the Net pretty soon, if not already. When I saw Deepak Singh's book, I thought I'd read it over and send it to them if I thought it was appropriate. Well I do. Every child ought to read this book, especially those who are ready for the big step of getting connected and those who already are. This is a powerful book and the presentation as a fun, interactive activity book, is right on. Being an old guy, the small print was a bit hard to take for me and I wasn't able to adjust the font size, but I found my glasses and worked it out. I'm sure the younger generation for whom it is intended, can read it just fine.

By Allen This book is great, it gives you guidelines but also has many links to other resources. It's very detailed. I learned a lot from reading this book and will be going back and reading it again and again to get all the info. Interesting section on different myths that college bound youngsters and their parents might have and the facts about them. For one, I realized I had some myths stuck in my brain. My son is a Freshman, but I am glad I had my hands on this book now, and I can start putting him in the right direction from the start. Very clearly written and very precise. Excellent choice for anybody thinking of going to college.

About the Author Jaime Grimes is the creator and author of the Teach Kids Colors book series. Jaime grew up on a peanut farm in Georgia with her slightly older brother, Chris Peck, who illustrates all of her books. Their childhoods were filled with exploring creeks, playing under the spray of irrigation systems and dancing to "The Monster Mash" in their living room. All of those wide open spaces gave them plenty of room to imagine and create, so Jaime developed a flair for writing and Chris fostered a talent for drawing and painting. Jaime is a professional writer and award-winning former journalist who began writing for her hometown newspaper when she was 16 years old. While pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English and journalism, Jaime wrote for both her college and city newspapers and interviewed Clark Howard and Tom Green. After graduating from college, Jaime wrote a popular food column for a Georgia newspaper featuring home cooks, interviewed Luke Bryan, Paula Deen and Nathalie Dupree and won a Georgia Associated Press award in Business Writing. Since then, she's written and/or started blogs for the corporate headquarters of a financial planning company, online auto sales marketplace, national network of real estate websites and group of staffing companies. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Big Hit with My Toddler - And his Class! By Trish Brashear I took this to my 2 1/2 yr old's class for Reading Mom and it was a *big* hit! I ended up re-reading it 3 times to the class because they wanted to see the pictures over and over. One little girl in the class was so excited "she looks like me!" His teacher decided the rest of the day was Green Day and had them pointing out Green things. We're definitely looking forward to the next installment:)

O Mandarim (Portuguese Edition), by Eça de Queirós

About the Author José Maria Eça de Queirós was born November 25, 1845, the illegitimate son of a judge and a provincial girl. While his parents married when he was four, Queirós wasn't acknowledged as their son until he married, at age 40. In 1861, he enrolled in the University of Coimbra, studying law, where he met Antero de Quental and Teófilo Braga and read the French authors popular among the educated youth of Portugal. He was also influenced by the positivist ideas he saw in Coimbra. After graduation in 1866, Eça tried to practice law in Lisbon, but soon became disillusioned. Instead he founded the newspaper O Distrito de Évora. In 1869, he traveled to Egypt and Palestine for the inauguration of the Suez Canal. His impressions became the text of O Egipto and provided the environment for the novel, A Relíquia. His literary career began the following year with a series of pamphlets that he wrote with Ramalho Ortigão, O Mistério da Estrada de Sintra. They collaborated again the following year, creating the political and social critique As Farpas. Eça de Queirós' texts from this collaboration were later published as the book, Uma Campanha Alegre. While administrator of the Council of Leiria for a brief time, Eça gained insight into the devout provincial environment that he later used in O Crime do Padre Amaro. Returning to Lisbon the next year, Eça joined Antero de Quental and others to form the group Cenáculo, from which sprang the 'Casino Conferences.' At one conferences, in 1877, Eça outlined a series of novels, Cenas Portuguesas, that would provide a critical analysis of Portuguese society in his time. Eventually, many of his novels came from the idea: O Crime do Padre Amaro, O Primo Basílio, A Capital, Os Maias, O Conde de Abranhos and Alves e Cia. In 1872, Eça started a diplomatic career, which he stayed in the rest of his life. He was named consul in Havana (Cuba was then part of Spain), which allowed him to take a long trip through the U.S. and Canada, during which he wrote the short story, Singularidades de uma Rapariga Loura, and the first version of O Crime do Padre Amaro. In December 1874, Eça was transferred to Newcastle, England, where he wrote O Primo Basílio, and later to Bristol, England (1878). In 1886 he married Emília de Castro Pamplona, the sister of the Count of Resende, with whom he had traveled to Egypt. Then, in 1888, he was transferred to Paris, where he stayed for the rest of his life. Eça de Queirós died in Paris, August 16, 1900.

Este e o norte da historia de Teodoro, que de seu quarto alugado de pensao e sua modica vida, atraves de sua decisao ,discute o amago do conflito humano da procura pela riqueza a todo custo e de suas consequencias. O apice ocorre em sua viagem aa China a procura de si mesmo. A riqueza das descricoes e seu metodo narrativo riquissimo demonstra um Eca de Queiros menos realista em sua essencia, mas mais critico dos desvarios da consciencia humana. Tudo temperado pelo fantastico e pelo exotismo.

Not an easy language, but the book gives a good outline By Historian This book is a comprehensive guide for people who want to devote a lot of time to learning the language. It answered my basic questions about the structure of the language which enabled me to understand why people whose first language is Cebuano are often inclined to make the same errors as they gradually learn English. That will help me to understand them when they speak English to me when I travel in their area. I can read seven languages and consider Cebuano to be more difficult for an English speaker than Russian and Hebrew, for example.

About the Author In addition to his political accomplishments, Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919), the twenty-sixth president of the United States, is known for his achievements as a naturalist, explorer, hunter, soldier, and author.Henry Cabot Lodge (1850 1924) was a Republican senator and historian from Massachusetts. He is best known for his positions on foreign policy, especially his battle with President Woodrow Wilson in 1919 over the Treaty of Versailles. He graduated from Harvard College and was the first student to graduate Harvard University with a PhD in political science. Lodge was elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1878 and served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1880 1881; he also represented his home state in the United States House of Representatives from 1887 1893 and in the Senate from 1893 1924. He is the author of a number of historical works, including "Alexander Hamilton", "Hero Tales from American History", "Theodore Roosevelt", and many others.

Heroes existed way before celebrities ever did, even though celebrities now outshine heroes in children's consciousness.""Worshiping celebrities leaves children with a distinctly empty feeling -- it doesn't teach that they'll have to make sacrifices if they want to achieve anything worthwhile. No- talents become celebrities all the time. The result is that people don't seem to care about achievement or talent -- fame is the only objective.""... Despite immense differences in cultures, heroes around the world generally share a number of traits that instruct and inspire people. A hero does something worth talking about, but a hero goes beyond mere fame or celebrity. The hero lives a life worthy of imitation. The print is larger and the tales are designed for younger readers. I would recommend this for elementary, maybe junior high age students.

You will be able to get children some practice at school skills, all within the context of Easter. There are coloring pages, Letter writing, word searches, crosswords. You can also purchase a digital copy at the author's website, but I think a printed book would be nicer because it is easier to put in a basket! My only concern with the product -but, this also could be a good thing, is that is can be used for several different ages...some things are easier and other things are harder in the book -so, if you have a family with several age children (from coloring book age through crossword age), then this book would be great. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are my own and are sincere.

It has phonics activities, coloring pages, word searches, crossword puzzles, writing practice and more! There is really something for almost every age. The pictures are simple yet fun and the activities keep the focus on Jesus. My little one really enjoyed it.

The emphasis is on scripture and I love how clearly the Bible is explained. I use it for our homeschooling devotions for our kids ages 9, 7, 5 & 3. We read through the lesson, and look up the verses, then I have the kids all complete the little assignment or drawing in their separate school binders. That works well for us!!

We have found a few verse errors/typos but because the Bible is used throughout every study it is easily corrected. Both the Junior and Youth study was purchased because my 4 and 12 year old are completing the study together. Great examples and stories taken straight from God's word. I've seen improvement within their relationship already.The Junior and Youth studies tie in well. I absolutely recommend this study to other families that would like to take a biblical approach to strengthening sibling relationships and learning God's expectations within those relationships.

The children draw pictures and I think that this helps to cement the principles into their minds. The children are encouraged to pray for each other and ask each other what their prayer requests are. They are encouraged to ask God and each other for forgiveness for the times they have sinned against each other, and each sin area is made clear. This is an excellent study for homeschool families and any family who desires peace among siblings. I highly recommend this study!

Although I have to admit some bias because I have collaborated with Dr. Jewell on several other projects, I am very impressed with his work on this program.
