If Gunnery Sergeant Zane Hall wants to save his family's ranch, he'll need to fix up the buildings, stock the spread with cattle - and find a wife. The first two are easy with the help of his brothers, but getting hitched is proving more difficult. When he meets mountaineer Kenna North through an online ad, she seems like the perfect fit - at least in her emails. She wants the same thing he does: a temporary marriage to secure an inheritance. But when Zane meets Kenna, she's nothing like he expects, and Zane finds himself changing his priorities fast.
If Storm Willow wants to save her family's seaside cottage, she'll have to keep her boss happy - which means taking Kenna's place and marrying Zane when Kenna is detained out of the country. As long as Storm acts her part, no one will know that she's an imposter. But when she falls for the handsome marine, Storm begins to wonder if holding on to the cottage is worth giving up on love. Can a fake marriage lead to real happiness? Or is disaster just a heartbeat away?

The next book, a Christmas themed one, most recently renumbered as #2.5 - featured friends of Mason and Regan (book 1) meeting up at Chance Hall for Christmas. It was an enjoyable read, but didn't invoke the response of the first 2. This book gets us back on track with Zack's (book 2) twin, Zane the marine.I had a hard time getting into this book. Probably because Storm's character hit a bit close to home for me. It made the read a bit uncomfortable and I couldn't totally immerse myself in the beginning of the story. Looking back, while Storm is lying and pretending to be her boss, the story has this ever so slight jaggedness, like music slightly off key. Once the truth comes out and consequences begin to be dealt with, the tone of the writing smooths out and you can literally feel the relief. As this marks the 3/4 mark for the brother's stories, there is some major movement in the over all story arc and while the twists weren't shocking, they were nicely done. I think I know where the last book in the series is heading, but until The Airman's Email Order Bride comes out, I won't know for sure. I am giving this one 4 stars and hope that the conclusion ends on a bang. Thanks to the author for the opportunity to review the book.

So it goes without saying when Zane's book finally came out I jumped right on it. This was a huge pleasure read for me.Oh the things that Zane feels and how quickly his relationship with Storm progresses couldn't be more perfect. Being a Marine I knew I would have a soft spot for Zane, but the fact that he goes into it wanting love from the second he sees Storm just endured him to me even more.Poor Storm, she does what she has to, to help her mom and sisters. It killed me to know that she was even pretending to be Kenna so that her mom could keep a little part of her father in her families life. The fact that she is able to help not only Zane but others that are having to deal with the Hall family changes in Chance Creek speaks highly of her character.I give this book 5 BIG Kisses and hope you get into the two series as much I have.

I was bit disheartened to learn that it was a good 75% of the story By Mignon Mykel 4.5 / 5 starsI've said it a few times, but I'll say it again --I'm not a big fan of stories-of-deception. I was excited about this book regardless of the fact that Storm is pretending to be someone else, but I was curious as to how long she would keep the façade up. In turn, I was bit disheartened to learn that it was a good 75% of the story. I understand that you can't have the huge climax of the story being in the middle (and with these deception stories, the grand climax is finding out that someone's been lying) but...Anyways, regardless...Zane may be my favorite Hall brother. He's honest with "Kenna" upfront -- he's looking for a quick marriage of convenience, they just need to fool his great Aunt Heloise. His two other brothers can deal with the baby part of the "Taking Back Crescent Hall" deal -- he just needs to be married.Kenna... the real one... needs a husband of convenience, too, for her own inheritance. She arranges to go out to Montana but needs her assistant in tow. Storm is nothing if not loyal to a fault. When Kenna tells her that she's unable to make it, that she needs Storm to fill in for her and if she does she will get a huge bonus, Storm reluctantly agrees. She's been helping her mother foot the bills for years and without this bonus, her mother is going to lose her house. But when Storm meets Zane, she's not sure it's a mission she can complete. Her sense of loyalty is what keeps her going, but every time Kenna's name is mentioned is a cold wake-up call -- so she tells Zane her nickname is Storm....it's much easier to believe the lie when those involved are using your real name. The first day they meet, it's as if two people who were searching for one another finally meet. Zane never believed in soulmates before, but there's something about Storm/Kenna that he's absolutely drawn to. Within moments, they flirt easily, interact well...And within the day's time, he fully claims her -- because after all, how can you fool your family that this is the person you love if you don't know them intimately (or so says Storm)?-- full review, with excerpt, at blog:http://mnonmklreviews.blogspot.com/2015/01/review-marine-e-mail-order-bride.html
