0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. An editor would have helped greatly, ultimately the number of great pictures and the enthusiastic writing won me over By Modupe Hendricks First I like Mohammed Ali the fighter and I like reading about him so I was naturally interested in reading this book. This book has a number of formatting issues for example on the second page “alias country hometown birthplace” are on one line while “the greatest USA Louisville, Kentucky” are on the second line. The captions to pictures are on different pages, for example the caption Mohammed Ali stands in his corner with his legendary trainer…” is roughly 2 pages before the picture. In another place the caption “cash as clay stands proudly on the podium….” is a full-page after the picture. I have no idea what the picture is above the title palpitations.Another issue I have is I’m not convinced that all of the fights discussed are Mohammed Ali’s greatest fights - for example the Ken Norton II and Leon Spinks II fights, at least he won. Clearly the author is writing about a topic that he enjoys immensely because he’s writing with a great deal of enthusiasm. Still it would have been nice if he had left out some of the jargon such as “clarinet dribbled” and “logging clay.” I believe an editor would have helped this book immensely. I had trouble deciding whether to give this book at three stars or four stars, but ultimately the number of great pictures and the enthusiastic writing won me over. If you can look over the formatting issues you may enjoy the book.
