The Personality of the Author Shines Through By Gillian Callcott I really enjoyed this children’s book it was an engaging version of the original fairy tale. But what I loved most was the illustrations they were artistic and quirky and brought the whole story to life. Some were so simple yet said it all and other illustrations were complex and vibrant with colour and texture. They moved you through the story the words and pictures connecting and drawing you in. When I read it to my grandchildren I will watch with anticipation their faces to see if it draws them in.

It was scary and funny and had this awesome twist at the end! Definitely 5 stars, Mom!" I do know that even with other distractions going on around her last night, she had a difficult time putting her Kindle down as she was reading it and kept showing me the pictures and telling me the story as she was reading. Was wonderful to see her so excited about this story! She's very excited for the next book! Thank you!

This one is different. It takes a familiar theme and gives it just enough of a twist to make it edgy, and a little bit scary for kids. I'm sure little (and big) kids will have fun reading and re-reading this book. The colorful illustrations do a great job of pulling the reader through the story.
