What happens when the very thing ruining your life ends up saving it? I was never one to believe in spirits—until six years ago, when a bone-chilling accident changed my life…forever. My name is Charlotte, but most people call me Char…and I have a special gift. I talk to the dead. Make no mistake, I can’t summon them. I’m only able to see and speak to the spirits that linger when they’re unable to crossover. They’re somehow weighted to the world with unfinished affairs. And for the last six years, I’ve relentlessly used my gift to help their lost souls. But it’s come at a price. My life is dark. Feeling despondent, I’ve begun to give up. And in helping the dead, I’ve realized I haven’t allowed myself to live. With no money, no place to go, and most importantly… no hope, I’ve decided there is only one option—to end it all. But fate is a funny thing. One minute, I’m about to leap to my death, and the next, I’m saved by Ike McDermott. The strong, striking soldier stopped me from putting an end to my despair. He’s the kind of man that smiles and brightens an entire room. Sweet and gentle. He is my savior. And he’s dead. We’ve made an agreement. He’ll help me find a place to stay and a new job if I’ll help him with his unfinished business so that he may crossover. Ike’s unfinished matter involves his twin brother, George. George has been falling apart since Ike’s death and Ike has not been able to compel himself to crossover in peace until he knows George will be okay. When I agreed to help, little did I know that I’d fall in love with the charming folks of Bath County, and…Ike and George McDermott. Now, as both brothers own equal parts of my heart, I am faced with a cruel and unfair predicament. In saving George, I must let go of Ike. But how does one let go of half of their heart?

Where One Goes, by B N Toler Review "With the switch from one character's point of view to another, I always felt in the moment, and the change in narrator mixed it up perfectly as well." ---Kindles & Wine
About the Author B N Toler lives in Virginia. When she's not reading or writing, she's thinking about reading or writing. Before she became a self-proclaimed writer, she worked as a real estate agent and as an orthodontic technician. **She will notice your teeth before your eyes or hair or anything.** She enjoys shopping (way too much) and is on a first name basis with several employees at the local Target in her town. She loves music,(bluegrass, country, 80's, actually she loves most music ~her favorite song is American Pie by Don McLean and she worships anything that is Elvis and Johnny Cash and Eric Church) dancing, (even though she sucks at it)reading, writing, eating (too much) sleeping late, (which she rarely gets to do) and laughing. If you can make her laugh, she will love you forever.

Especially considering she's managed to completely knock my socks off with each new release. And Where One Goes is no exception.Let me start off by saying I am a HUGE fan of mediums, (those who can mediate communication between spirits of the dead and the living). I'm an avid viewer of Long Island Medium, and bawl like a baby every single time I watch it. So this book immediately struck a chord with me. I was curious and excited to read Ms. Toler's take on this particular subject, and it was without a doubt everything I had hoped it would be!A tragic accident has left Charlotte with the ability to talk to the dead. Not ALL those who have died, just the ones who have unfinished business and need help crossing over. She's been traveling for the past 5 years doing just that, except it hasn't been as rewarding or fulfilling as one might think. Helping these poor souls has done very little to help her battle (or ignore) her own inner struggles, leading Charlotte to make a heartbreaking decision. Yet when she's right about to put a very permanent end to her suffering she's saved by the most unlikely of heroes...Ike McDermott, a breathtakingly handsome solider...who happens to be dead. How perfect is that?!Ike is quickly able to talk some sense into her and promises to help her if she can return the favor. An even trade of sorts. With nothing left to lose Charlotte decides to give it a shot and follows Ike's directions, landing herself in Warm Springs. There she encounters the kindest group of people known to man who bend over backwards to help her, no questions asked. With her living situation taken care of for the moment, she manages to land herself a job where she meets George McDermott, Ike's brother...the favor.I don't really like to summarize books all that much, since you can get all that info by reading the synopsis, so I'll just leave it at that...which really isn't even all that much. There is so much more to this story than meets the eye. The further you read the more emotions, secrets and drama unfolds. I have to say I have never been as in love with a cast of characters as I am with this amazing bunch. It seems as though everybody Charlotte comes into contact with in this charming little town (with the exception of Misty, the she-devil) has the biggest heart and most welcoming, genuine demeanor. If I could live in a fictional town this would be the one I'd choose, hands down. They are just stellar supporting characters. While the story tends to get a little serious in nature at times there is plenty of comedic relief to keep you chuckling and enough drama to keep you teary eyed...or frustrated (where George is concerned). Ms. Toler has perfected the art of creating a well blended/balanced story giving you everything you could possibly want in a book. Her writing is on point, as always, and flows seamlessly from one scene to the next. There's never a dull moment. Whether it's funny conversations with Ike, romantic tension with George, heartwarming conversations with the townsfolk, or the not so obvious (to the living) love triangle, you will be entertained and captivated from beginning to end. Guaranteed. So of course I would HIGHLY recommend Where One Goes and ANYTHING else written by this amazingly talented author!

All I can think is where has BN Toler been all of my life? I absolutely LOVED this amazing book! I honestly couldn’t put this book down. I told my husband to leave me alone because all I wanted to do was read this story and find out how it ends! This is a paranormal romance book that has such a unique story line. I haven’t ever read anything quite like it. Toler creates interesting and witty characters that draw you in from the beginning. The Ike, Char, George triangle is so wonderfully written. There were parts of this story that had me cracking up. The banter between Char and Ike was addictive. I couldn’t get enough of those two together. Even the secondary characters shouldn’t even be called “secondary”. They were all so well developed. I was in tears reading this story, but that’s part of what made me love it so much. Who doesn’t wish they could some way converse with a love one that has passed away? I think people who don’t normally like paranormal books would like this one. There is a huge paranormal element to it, but after a while the reader sort of forgets that Ike is a ghost. He and Char have such normal conversations throughout the book. This is also a story of love, loss, healing, hope, and redemption. The ending was absolutely perfect! I don’t want to give spoliers away, but what Toler does with Ike and Char’s story, the way she ties it up is absolutely perfect! George and Char also get an ending that is very much to my satisfaction! At the end of the day, Toler writes a beautiful ending for our beloved trio. Here is one of my favorite excerpts:“Moments come and go; quick flickers in time. Yet those moments can have the profoundest impact on our lives. Either we seize them, and wield them to our needs, or we let them go. It’s the moments we let go that, I believe, remain with us strongest – because regret is something that never leaves us.”

PERFECT! *MUST READ*) By MG Reviews My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘WHERE ONE GOES’(via:BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.c o m):This is the first time I’ve read something from author B. N. Toler and I’m definitely a new fan. “Where One Goes” is of the Paranormal Romance genre and it has definitely captivated me as a reader. I have to admit that this has become one of my new absolute favorite novels. This novel is the first that has made me finally dish out my first perfect 5 rating, that’s how enamored I am with this story. Readers will get to enjoy this story from a total of three P.O.V.’s(point of views) from the main characters Charlotte “Char” Acres, Ike McDermott, and George McDermott. What would you do if you could see and talk with the dead? This is a question that Charlotte “Char” Acres has an answer to and has lived with this ability everyday since her near death experience. After the loss of her best friend/older brother Axel, she’s been a different person. Her parents didn’t understand her changes and assumed it was all just a part of her coping with the loss but there was more to it all. She feels alone, distant from those she once knew, and has been feeling down by the weight that comes with having only the dead to talk to. She doesn’t see all dead souls, it’s only those with unfinished business. Once their business is taken care of, they move on and Char is left alone again. Charlotte has helped many for the past few years but it has all finally started to get to her. With little money and no place left to call home, she’s ready to give up. Just as she’s about to end it all, someone intercepts her plan.Ike McDermott died at war. He comes from the friendly small-town called Warm Springs, Virginia. He was an attractive guy, shared a close relationship with his loving family and was best friend’s with his twin brother George. He’s been stuck feeling alone while he watches his family grieve for him helplessly. Unfortunately, his twin brother George is spiraling down a terrible path after receiving the news of Ike’s death. When Ike comes across Charlotte at one of his old favorite hang outs, he realizes that maybe they can help each other out. They make a deal that Char hesitantly agrees to; he will help her and in return, he needs her to help his twin from destroying his life. Along the way, a genuine friendship and strong feelings grow between a soul with unfinished business and the young woman who is the only one who can see or help him.George McDermott has always thought that his twin brother who also happened to be his best friend, was not only a great soldier but was the better of the two. When he received news about Ike’s death, it hit him so hard. He began using drugs to try and numb his pain and started having an unhealthy relationship with a woman who belonged to another. This wasn’t what he would normally act like but something snapped in him when he was hit with the great loss of the closest person in his life. Will he ever be able to truly grieve and fix his life before it’s too late for him to be saved?Charlotte comes to Warm Springs and quickly realizes that this town gives her hope and may actually offer her more than she could ever imagine. George is quick to not trust her. But she is determined to help out Ike and George. Ike and Charlotte begin growing an attachment with each other that makes their closeness hard to handle, knowing that soon they will have to say goodbye forever. As much as George tries to fight against Charlotte’s help, they both begin to develop feelings that they never expected toward each other. How will Charlotte handle her connection to both brothers? How will it all end? This novel is by far one of my absolute favorites! It’s mind-blowing, breathtaking, and emotionally gripping. My heart was all over the place with this one and I actually teared up more times with this story than I have with any other novel. It was exquisitely beautiful! The characters each pull you into the story in their own ways and add so much value to the storyline. Read this with your heart open and I promise you that you’ll be just as enthralled as I found myself. I didn’t want it to end because I knew what was coming but I just didn’t know exactly how it would all play out in the end. It did not disappoint. Their is humor, romance, suspense, heartbreak, and hope- all wrapped together in this wonderfully written novel. I highly recommend this one. You should definitely get a copy of this book and add it to your TBR list for sure. One of the best I’ve read! Bravo. My star rating for WHERE ONE GOES is: 5 out of 5 stars!!! :)Visit my Blog and see Memorable quotes and character photos of how I imagined them while reading WHERE ONE GOES.
