About the Author Sam Nienow is a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. double major in Economics and Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy. During his time at UTC, Sam held executive positions in five different student organizations, founded two organizations, and ran for student body president twice. In addition, Sam also served as a board member on the Chattanooga Mayor's Council on Disability. "A Guys Guide to College" is Sam's first book.

A Must-Have for Soon-To-Be-Freshmen By Judd Crane For all those who are recent high school graduates, soon to be, or even those who simply want to find out what college can be like from someone who made the most of it, do yourself a favor and give "A Guy's Guide to College" a nice read. For incoming freshmen, I cannot recommend this book enough! No matter where you are, or what your expectations of college or what to make of college are, this will be a very helpful guide to how to make your next four years count!

Munsch Good read, entertaining and any man headed to college will be served well by reading and heeding Sam's advice. In fact there is some advice that serves everyone no matter their age or their destination. "Improvise, Adapt and Overcome" is standing culture in our United States Marine Corps. I was pleased to see "Semper Gumby" introduced in the pages of this guide. Well Done.

Finally here is a book every parent and grandparent will find sooo refreshing in this "modern" era as they read Sam's old-fashioned yet up-to-the-minute advice to young men headed for college next fall, or those already in college for one or more years. Quite a contrast to some of the other "guides" available these days! Please do use the "look inside" feature and you'll see what I mean. Actually, there is so much great advice from someone so young that I could just quote the whole book.This little gem only costs a bit more than a fancy card. Just put a little "congratulations high school grad" note inside and you'll have a truly meaningful graduation "card." Know someone already in college? Never too late for a down-to-earth, "been there, done that, and here's what I learned" talk for him.Get a copy for all those sons, grandsons, nephews, etc. whom you love and want to see having success in college and in life. Does anyone come to mind? If you are a college age guy reading this review, and no one gifts you with the book, it might be your best-spent money to get a copyyourself.
