Some disappointments, but overall an important event not to be forgotten By Beck As an Australian who clearly remembers this event, i was wondering how this event would be perceived by a non Aussie. While this book outlines this horrific event (one that should and never will be forgotten), I have a couple of issues with it. There are many grammatical errors throughout the book which does mar the reading experience. Also, I am not sure why, but there were several inaccuracies seemingly made to "fit" an American audience. For example, the author refers to 911 emergency lines following the incident, in Australia we do not use 911 (it is 000). There were also some references to our court system that were incorrectly named. For the sake of credibility, I believe there should have been an explanation of the differences rather than a blanket change. This may seem small and petty criticism's, but it did affect my enjoyment of the book. At times, it also seemed very rushed.I do thank you though for outlining an event in our history that changed our country forever the legislative changes to gun ownership following has meant that in 2015, the Port Arthur massacre remains the last mass shooting in our great country.

Feel what it is like to be helpless in the middle of a crowd By Connor Bedell I received an advanced copy of this manuscript free from the author in exchange for an honest review.I found this narrative to make a reader feel like they are right in the middle of the action. It is as if the fear and helplessness these people were feeling is still alive today. It keeps a reader wondering why someone would want to kill so many innocent and unsuspecting people out to just enjoy their day and see the sights. I have no sympathy for Martin Bryant. He may have been slow, but that is no excuse for the mayhem that resulted in such tragic results. This book is well researched and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes the True Crime genre.

He went out to a historical site full of tourists who just wanted enjoy some of the Australian history when suddenly Bryant showed up with automatic weapons and shot 35 people to death while they were running for their lifes.I belive this is the first book by Jack Rosewood that's is about an actual mass murderer rather than a serial killer. I think the author did a good job with this book. I always enjoy some Australian crime since they are always less known of in the rest of the world. I didn't even know this event had happend until I read this book and this didn't happend to long ago and this was a big event.A great book by this author as always!
