If you have not yet read the first book, stop immediately and go read it!Upon finding out that Kris has a wife, Lexi screams and yells at Kris, not allowing him to explain. Once Lexi calms down and allows Kris to explain, she learns that Jordan, the woman in the picture, is Kris deceased wife. Lexi and Kris answer each others questions and are completely honest with each other. While the past is being discusses, Lexi and Kris realize that Lexi may have been the recipient of Jordan's organ. As time continues, Lexi and Kris' relationship continue to grow. Kris has invited Lexi to attend a function that his mother hosts every year as well as meet his mother and family/pack. At the event, a flash from Lexi's past arrives. Will Lexi be strong enough to handle it or will everything dissolve?This second book in the series was fast paced and kept me guessing. I was thrilled when Lexi allowed Kris to explain the picture of his wife. With everything now in the open, their future and relationship can move forward. I must warn you that this book does end in a major cliffhanger! I anxiously await the next installment to find out what happens next! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves werewolves and steamy romance. Thank you Ms. Thomas for gifting me this ARC and allowing me to read and review the book for you.

Love this new series so much that I couldn't put Volume 2 down and when I was finished I wanted more!! Yes, there is a cliff hanger and I totally didn't see that twist coming!!Lexi had just found out that the woman in the picture was Kris's wife. Her luck couldn't be that bad that her last two relationships were both with married men. Lexi gave Kris and piece of her mind along with a slap on his face. He then tells her that he lost his wife a year ago in a car accident. Lexi felt bad for flying off the handle and not giving him the chance to explain. Lexi tells Kris about her ex, how she ran into him with another woman and she proceeded to give him a piece of her mind only to find out that she was his wife. The wife attacks Lexi and almost kills her, clawing her under her breast and puncturing her lung causing her to need a lung transplant.Kris thinks that Lexi may have shifter blood in her and may be the reason they feel so drawn to one another. As they are talking about both his wife's accident and her attack, he thinks she may have received his wife's lung. He wants to test Lexi's blood to see if she has the shifter DNA and also see if she received his wife's lung.Lexi agrees to the blood test to see if she has the shifter DNA. She doesn't want their connection to be his widow’s lung. She couldn't handle that.Kris finds out some disturbing news and doesn't want to tell Lexi but she insists.Okay, you have to read this story and find out what happens!! Love the chemistry between Lexi and Kris!!!I can't wait for Volume 3!!! Mr. Winters-Alpha's Second Chance!!

Bringing back the emotional pain of her past betrayal and the physical cost she loses it and is ready to leave. When she allows Kris to explain, that Jordan is dead, she not only is sorry but feels horrible for her outburst. Eventually she has to explain to Kris why she was so ready to believe the worst.It takes a little time but they begin to get their lives back on tract. In doing so they question the immediate and strength of the pull to each other. When they discover what cannot just be a coincidence they begin to understand and allow themselves to begin to trust they are meant to be. However nothing is that easy. A obligatory trip home reveals past danger and terror.Will Lexie be able to get past the fear? Can Kris keep her safe and keep her? What seemed meant to be has some serious pit falls. I am anxious for the third book which just came out.On to all the answers. A recommend from me. Make sure to read both volumes before moving on the the final. The price is good and they are also available through Kindle Unlimited.
