Leon Davith Grand Wizard - Legends of Dragons - Swords and Sorcery A Grand Wizard feigns his death. The pretense allows Leon to observe his son from afar. Leon regards his protégé as his son as well as his greatest creation. The bronze Golem pays homage to his dad's grave. Even so, Bard the true hero of the story hurdles from one escapade to the next hoping to solve the world's evils. The Golem was waist-deep in peril. Even thus, Bard travels with a necromancer called Quill, at any instant could cast mind boggling spells. In the process, Bard suffers extreme grief as a result of his father's demise; Leon has a dreadful premonition that something wrong. He spoke quickly with a tremble in his voice. "Despite the tombstone, I'm alert and well." He hung his head in the shadows. "Bard, let me apologize, I grew weary of an idle life." Leon grimaced, then turned away. "We are more than Soul mates, in fact; we are destined to work together. You'll have to admit that, perhaps. I gave way to extremes hoping to win your friendship." Bard took a step backwards remarking. "Father this can't be, Wizard or not; it's impossible!" "Yes son it's the truth. "Leon spoke gravely. When the conversation ended, he explained his disappearance and how it was not frivolous. as he embarked on a good ship and set sail. However, remaining anonymous he lived as a ghost, a new plan had to be made. Leon had to resolve certain issues that would alter his whole life." However, he suffers from a stroke of tough luck resulting from a bad heart, torpid liver, combined with a financial collapse. Nevertheless, he knew that whatever illness or disaster that befalls can be sustained providing the disorders aren't from the paranormal. Leon by all odds was a solid case; neither did anyone hear a whimper. Even so, his fears were unfounded. None could match his skill. In the meantime, Leon frequented a secret chamber located within his castle, to study the artistry of magic along with its effects. He was expressing a fact. "Love is born when a man finally escapes the age long prison of himself." Subsequently, the Grand Wizard reasoned. "What his cohorts didn't know couldn't spill from their mouths." Leon reaches a moment of truth. Conditions, then, were far from ideal. However, it seemed that everything was moving in their favor, and each had conviction. Still, could this passionate Dragon Master, Magician and Warrior -- fulfil his role as Bards confidante as well as devoted father? "My dear son, if I were setting out on a journey to the ends of the earth, and expected to be gone a very long time, a score of years, perhaps, you would sit down with me tonight and patiently let me say my say and not turn away from me."

With all of the twists and turns in the plot, I just could not put it down. I never knew where it would go next. I have become tired of all of the predictable stories recently, this one definitely is not one of them! I loved the challenge of figuring out where it would go next, usually what I predicted, was nowhere near as awesome as Blackthorne took me as the reader!

It’s amazing how some writing just have the knack of drawing readers into their world. Novels of this type really need to be experienced and not told. This is what I like about Mr Blackthorne’s stories. I can feel them as I follow along. Very few writers have this gift.
