2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Every Parent MUST have this book! By Heidi M. Gunderson I have used this book in my classroom and as a parent. I love the connection that my child can make with the BEEs and his own emotions. Sasha has broken the barrier that was present for my child to be able to communication his frustrations, happiness, and "unknown" feelings to me. Now, he just says a BEE and I understand. There is no longer the frustration of me not being able to understand his behaviors, emotions, and feelings. What a wonderful concept. As an adult I can relate to all of the BEEs as well!!

Not only it's a fun read, it also gives you invaluable tools for both parents and kids to help put words to your feelings. It has helped my daughter articulate what she is feeling instead of having a meltdown about it. I highly recommend adding this book to your home library.

Intelligently written; increases communication between parents and children By Sara Very intelligently written book for parents and children to understand and explain emotions! So many studies have now shown that EQ (emotional intelligence) is a big factor in successful child development and continues to dictate success into adulthood. This book takes complex feelings, which are difficult for children and adults to comprehend, and associates them with the simpler concept of colors. This book is definitely an easy read that stimulates interesting little discussions when I read it to my nieces and nephews. I love the recap chart at the end; it lists the colors all in one page and makes it easy to point to.
