About the Author Sam Kuban resides in Evansville, Indiana. He is most known for writing the book "Beautiful Things and How to Ignore Them." This collection of poems can be placed in the comedy/horror genre and can be compared to writings by Edward Gorey or Roald Dahl. He is a multi-instrumentalst, and has recorded music based on the characters in from this book under the name "Lead and Lye." While he thoroughly enjoys writing, he recently graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Interactive Media Design.

It definitely is an outside of the box read that makes you look at life and things quite differently. I found it to be a bit enchanting, eerie, philosophical, satirical, edgy, and completely entertaining. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it. If you like books that challenge the norm and make you think, as well as laugh a bit, then do yourself a favor put this little gem on your spring reading list. I guarantee that you will love it! 5 big stars!

By Read-aloud Obsessed, teacher, coach, proud mom, Kim Kuban The words and phrases fall delightfully and frightfully from the tongue. You will want to linger on each drawing and repeat aloud each line, but at the same time, feel the urgent need to see what's on the next page. I highly recommend this book to all.

You will have to read it to find out for yourselves! The whole thing just flowed along so perfectly and the illustrations enhanced the experience immensely . I don’t often read poetry but this has definitely given me an new outlook on it because it is just so masterfully done. Thank you Mr. Kuban for renewing my interest! Well Done!
