Mr. Polite courageously weaves a collection of sixteen essays to build a poignant portrait around the topics of politics, hip-hop, and church (just to name a few). In a very practical, and critical fashion, I was taken on a journey where I was able to take a glimpse into the mind of the author, and see a heart that is searching for meaning and purpose in his life through a myriad of complex themes most would not dare to tackle. If you love a combination of wit, intellectual discourse mixed in with a touch of intimate disclosure of Mr. Polite's innermost thoughts, this book is for you. I look forward to reading more! Five stars.

By Zoetic Fyre Mr. Polite challenges all readers to ask critical questions of ourselves and our surroundings. I may not agree with all his points but it certainly forced me to think about things a bit differently. I only wish Mr. Polite wrote a bit more from a point of assuming that those reading the book were not yet readers of his blog. At times I felt like I was missing some context because he often referred to the blog, which is something that I only knew about because if this book. If you can get past the typos, you will certainly find the content well thought out and critical. I will be certain to check out his blog next.
