Presented in an easy to follow and logical progression that can aid in the verification or exclusion of a suspected autoerotic death. Being as sensitive and provocative subject as it is, this guide book provides the needed thorough insight in a professional manner without sacrificing valuable information. The information is provided in a manner that can be appealing to investigators irregardless of their experience or skill level. I can easily see why Investigators, including myself, would want to keep a copy handy for a quick reference, not to mention having it available when training or giving lectures on the subject. It gave me a lot more insight into autoerotic deaths and the various aspects of their proper medicolegal investigation. Knowing these cases are rare causes me to think they are prone to being misunderstood and quite easily misdiagnosed. Because of the social taboos, I’m sure historical background on the victim is not easy to acquire.The subject matter is written in an easy-to-follow and logical progression; it provides appeal to a wide range of experience and skill level (including all manner of death investigators, coroners, medical examiners, and others professionally interested in this subject). The reader is given the tools and information needed to accurately investigate autoerotic death cases. I highly recommend this book.
